I'm a middle aged husband and father in a perpetual state of adolescence. We live in Northern Michigan. It's a beautiful and calm corner of the world. We spend the summers on the lakes and rivers and in the woods. It's still cold and snowy North of the 45th parallel and there's plenty of outdoors adventures to be had then as well. I would compare our lifestyle to that of hobbits. We are tucked safely away from the rigorous pace of modern life. We enjoy our kitchen, cocktails and music. Whenever life starts to feel too predictable, we're out the door and off on another adventure!
